ORB Day on the Hill
Each year, the Ohio River Basin Alliance hosts a fly-in advocacy event in Washington, D.C. for a congressional breakfast reception to discuss restoration efforts at the federal level and to meet with elected officials to ask for their support in our work. Fall 2025 Hill Day
In 2025, ORBA collaborated with the Environmental and Energy Study Institute for a breakfast program including a panel of experts speaking to the ecological, human health, and economic benefits of basin-wide restoration and words from Ohio River Basin Caucus Co-Chair, Morgan McGarvey (D-KY).
Congressional Office Visits
After a joint program, participants in Hill Day break into teams and meet with congresspeople and their staff on the hill to ask for their support on a federal restoration program for the Ohio River basin. All talking points, meeting materials, and training are provided for participants.
