ORBA seeks to unite the voice of stakeholders throughout the Ohio River Basin to prioritize healthy waters and healthy communities in our shared region through education, collaboration, and advocacy.
Education
Education and outreach to ORBA members and the general public are at the heart of the Ohio River Basin Alliance. Through webinars, further education credits, and undergraduate internships, ORBA strives to develop the next generation of water stewards and make knowledge of water resource priorities more accessible to all.
Collaboration
The Ohio River Basin Alliance is, by definition, a collaboration of diverse stakeholders and the general public working towards our common goals of clean water. Through work with these partners, and collaboration with members, ORBA strives to amplify voices throughout the Basin and advocate for water resource priorities in the region with a unified voice.
Advocacy
ORBA works to advocate on the behalf of the entire Ohio River watershed to receive dedicated and sustainable federal funding to restore and protect this region through the Ohio River Restoration and Protection Plan, Ohio River Basin Days on the Hill, and the Ohio River Restoration Program Act.
