Hill Day
Each year, the Ohio River Basin Alliance holds an advocacy event for members to visit with members of congress to ask for their support of federal funding to restore and protect the Ohio River basin.
In 2025, ORBA collaborated with the Environmental and Energy Study Institute's river series to hold a congressional breakfast reception with speakers highlighting the threats to and value of the Ohio River and its watershed. Speakers included Ohio River Basin Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Morgan McGarvey, a panel including Lauren Anderson (Envirome Institute), Glen Delaney (Earth Economics), and Lisa Hollingsworth-Segedy (American Rivers), and words of welcome from ORBA and EESI leadership.
After the program, ORBA members visited 30+ congressional offices to advocate for federal support of the Ohio River Basin. Stay tuned for our next Hill Day dates and registration.
